Emilee's Surgery

Surgery day for Em. Had to be at the hospital at 7:15 AM. She was not wheeled into the operating room until 9AM, so it was a long morning. About an hour for the surgery. We got home around noon. Everything went great with Em's surgery. She had a little problem after the surgery when she woke up with throwing up, but after we got her up and moving around she was great. Doctor said that as soon as he cut thru the muscle and tendin her thumb went straight. She has been moving the hand and thumb around and has full feeling of the thumb. Praise the Lord! Eric, Em and I all feel asleep as soon as we got home. Slept for about 3 hours and then awoke to Eric packing up the car to go to the cottage. He said we all needed to get away. It was nice to just relax up there and do nothing. We even got Em down to the beach for an to sit and watch the water and sunset. Jillie created a sand mermaid for everyone to admire. To cute! Then Em had to make one of her own. Katie and Victoria were just to busy tanning. Girls!!! Auntie Donna and Grandma Cindy were also up, so the girls had a good time spending quality time with their grandma and auntie. Actually, Auntie Donna made Emilee's most fav cake...strawberry cake! Oh was it to die for!!! Super delicious! It was a Paula Dean recipe, see photo's below. There are some cute photo's of Donna and Em making the cake too.

Emilee's 7th Birthday Party

Eric actually dressed up like Prince Charming and danced with Em. It was so cute!!!

TEA PARTY FUN FOR A PRINCESS!

Today we had Em's birthday party and it was a blast! Here a few photo's of all the princessess.

Butterfly Cathing

Had to show some of our weekend fun. After Em's surgical safari at the hospital, on our way home, there was a butterfly catching activity at the nature park by our home. I ended up taking Jill and Em. It was a lot of fun! Actually, the really neat thing is that the local newspaper was there writing an article. The girls got in a few shots and then I had taken some cool photo's of a butterfly on one of the little girls shoulders. The editor asked if they could have my snap shot and give me credit as the photographer. It is suppose to be in the next issue of the source. Here is the snap shot I took that they used.

J & E - Crafty Wall Hangings

Over the weekend Eric, Katie and I decided to redo the younger girls room. I found these adorable teal comforters, teal and lime cute floral area rug, and these sparkly teal curtains. Eric and I will be painting the room this week but I first started on these cute monogrammed wall hangings. Turned out super cute!

4th of July 2008

Eric and I decided last minute to stay around the house for the 4th of July. No relaxing by the beach...whaaa! It will be fine though. Actually, Eric is on call now for Sunday. I guess I will spend most of the time creating graphics and trying to get the site updated. Katie is also home now, so I think we will go shopping later today, hopefully things are open. I had to post a few photo's of Kate and her best friend Kaitlyn K. This is her good friend that had moved away to the Virgin Islands when they were little. Kaitlyn actually came back for a few days and spent a night here with us. Those two girls are just always going to the best of friends and the net has played a great roll in keep them in touch. They are so funny together and just have such a great time laughing and being all girlie. LOL!

Just Chit Chat

Today I wanted to send a little chit chat thru my blog. It has been a crazy morning but just had a few minutes of down time to blog. I was looking through my Creating Keepsakes mag and found a couple cool sites to pass on http://www.grafix.com/ and http://www.frostcreekcharms.com/. If you have not been to these links go check them out. Smiles :)

Getting ready for the 4th of July weekend. I am so ready to relax at the cottage and get a break. The kids are up with my folks, so Eric and I are just going to go away for the weekend. We have not done that in a long time so it will be nice to be with the hubby on our own.
