Sad News :(

We lost our loved one this afternoon. Aunt Gerti Yusko went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ today.

(We will miss you dearly Aunt Gerti but know that you are in the kingdom of heaven forever. I know that angels of God guided you and lead you to the heavenly gates rejoicing and singing.)

Note to all our friends and family - thank you so much for all the prayers of strength for Eric's family and for ours. When I find out the arrangements I will send out the information on my personal FB.

Sad News!

just found out that Eric's Aunt Gerti is deteriorating fast. The doctors gave a grim prognosis today. Please say a prayer for Gerti and for Eric's family. Eric's family just had to lay his grandmother to rest last month. Gerti has been cared for by my in-laws for many years. They have done an amazing job caring for her but now her body is shutting down now and she is non-responsive. The doctors will do nothing more for Gerti because of her age. I pray for strength for my in-laws and sil’s. This is just really heart breaking. Eric and I will be going to the hospital today, so please pray for all of our family.

Isaiah 40:31 They will soar wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Thank you for strength o Lord.

So much going on and no time to remember that it is the holiday season :(

Home with a sick child and she is my main concern right now. Please say a prayer for her healing.

I have my Christmas cards all addressed and ready to go out but no time to get to the USPS this week. I will have to wait until she gets better.

Life is a trial, mile by mile.
Life is hard, yard by yard.
But it's a cinch, inch by inch.

Father, take full control of each "inch" in my life and make it joyous and I ask for healing for my little love. Amen.

This would be a nice gift for Christmas...hint! hint! to my husband :) LOL

Made by KJD - review of some of my fun!!!

Lots of creative fun! I love Emilee's 6th Birthday Party book. THis was a cute way that I had all her friends sign. Just a neat way to see how they grow and the syle of her friends hand writing.

Batty Book - Fun Halloween album. Lots of really cute pages filled with candy fun! Plus, the cute cupcake invitation. Also, I loved creating the You Are Special box filled with matching stationary.

The baby book was really a fun creation that I loved making.

These hat cards I created for a fun Card Swap. Love those paper flowers and buttons! Embellishments just make the cards pop! What would I do without embellishments? LOL

Hootie of a cookie!

I found this great fun hootie recipe and had to share. I am making these for Em's Halloween class party.

1 roll (18 oz.) refrigerated sugar cookie dough 1/4 cup flour, 1/3 cup cocoa powder, 20 whole cashews, ¼ cup chocolate frosting, ½ cup M&M candies, 2 cookie sheet pans Plastic wrap paper Resealable plastic bag

1. Divide the sugar cookie dough in three pieces. Knead the flour into one piece of cookie dough until smooth, set aside. Combine the remaining two pieces of cookie dough and knead in the cocoa powder until smooth, set aside.

2. Roll the lighter colored cookie dough into a 1-inch round log about 10 inches long, and move it off to the side. Roll out the chocolate cookie dough on a lightly floured surface to a 10 x 4-inch rectangle. Place the light colored log of cookie dough on top of the chocolate rectangle. Wrap the chocolate cookie dough completely around the lighter colored log. Pinch edges to seal and roll the log smooth. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

3. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Cut the cookie log into 1/4-inch slices. Place 2 slices, side by side, on sheet pans. Press a cashew into cookie at the point the slices touch. Repeat with remaining cookie slices. Bake for approximately 8-11 minutes, or until cookies are just beginning to golden. Remove from the oven and transfer to a wire rack to cool. 4. Spoon the chocolate frosting into a resealable bag and snip a small corner from bag. Using the photograph as guide, pipe eyelashes and a dot to secure candies. Add the M&M’S® Brand Chocolate Candies for eyes.

Fantastic Firefly Giveaway at Catching Fireflies

There are 3 ways to enter - check it out at

Been So Busy!

The month of June flew right bye and now July is almost half way over. I just have been so busy with the kids and work, plus I had to have surgery. No time for blogging lately...sorry! If this tells you how backed up I am...I had over 912 pictures to upload. I feel like pulling out my hair...ugh!!! I guess I just need to do a little at a time and try to catch up. Hopefully, I will have some down time this weekend to get caught up and start blogging again. To top it off, I have 3 additional tasks that I have to complete in the next week (just add it to my plate/list...lol!) First, I have to have a penny hunt with my girls...just a little fun at hand, next a barbaque with friends, and third I have to try some new recipe.
Anyone have something good I can try? Just a few challenging tasks that I was put up to try and complete...and I will!

Tomorrow is Em's birthday, I have a lot of stuff to do around the house tonight. Need to wrap presents and pick up the cake. Em is getting a new bike for her birthday, plus the Taylor Swift CD. "Happy 8th my dear!!!"
